Oh Sammy

This isn’t my usual post, but this picture means more than you know⬇️

This is where we photographed the album cover for my new song Prayer, Amelia Island- my home in my heart.

This island has always been the place I come back to when life hits, and sometimes it hit like a train.
Whether my mom was dying (she survived stronger than ever,) when my sister was SA’d, or when my crazy ex girlfriend tortured my family and I, this place has been my sanctuary. It’s a place where God and I have had countless conversations. Every time I go to Amelia I leave with a new breath of life and brighter outlook ahead of me no matter what happened.

‘Prayer’ is the culmination of all the events leading up to this point in my life, and I thank god every day for giving me the opportunity to sing. It seems these days, the audience is growing rapidly, something I’m even more grateful for. This picture was at the time I started thinking about Prayer as we were leaving for a show. I ended up finishing the entire song later in the 6 hour car ride home.

God has continued to bless me and give me a life beyond my wildest dreams. Prayer comes out tomorrow, so I’d like to thank each and every person who supported my music and this journey we are all in this thing called “life.” And I thank you God for blessing me, refining me and protecting those around me that I love, and for giving me the chance to sing this song. I hope you like it, because this one’s for you🩵
