“President Trump’s primetime address tonight was a defining moment for election integrity and national security. By declassifying intelligence showing Chinese meddling in U.S. voter data and exposing serious vulnerabilities in our election infrastructure—including electronic voting systems—he has given the American people the truth they deserve and long demanded.

As Chairman of the Georgia Republican Party, I have fought for years to strengthen safeguards against fraud and foreign interference in our elections. These revelations validate our efforts in Georgia and across the country to require proof of citizenship, secure our voting machines, and ensure only eligible citizens participate in our elections. Without free, fair, and trusted elections, self-government itself is at risk.

President Trump is right: the threats are real, and the time for half-measures is over. Congress must act immediately to pass meaningful election security reforms including the SAVE America Act. Under this President’s leadership, America is reclaiming its strength, and Georgia Republicans stand ready to lead by example—protecting every legal vote and stopping every illegal one.”
