We wrapped up a large transformation project this past month, and what a difference it made.

The backyard sat on a severe hill—so steep that even the skid steer couldn’t help as much as we had hoped. We demoed over 300 feet of fencing, removed two decks and stairs, and regraded the backyard to create a proper line for the fence.

From there, we installed new decks and stairs using composite decking for long-term durability, added a new 3-rail fence along with a shadow box privacy fence, and completed the space with an aluminum underdeck system for a clean, finished look.

This project brought all kinds of weather—four snow days, a few 70-degree afternoons, and a final day working in freezing wind—but the result was worth it. The original deck was completely rotted through, the stairs were failing, and the fence was in rough shape. Now the home has a safe, functional, and beautifully finished outdoor space.
