It's that time of year again! Mamas are bringing their babies of all ages to the kickboxing studio during the summer for workouts together!
Here is Coach Peaches advising Anneliese on the best fort building technique. You know, some kids like to workout with Mom, and some kids like to play while Mom exercises. Either way is fine!!
Are your shoulders feeling a little tight, clicky, or restricted lately?
If you’ve ever experienced "frozen shoulder" (or felt like you were heading down that road), you know how frustrating and painful it can be. As women, our joint fluid and tissue elasticity can change over time, making our shoulders extra vulnerable to stiffness and injury.
But you don’t have to just accept the ache!
In this video, I’m using 1 lb Indian club bells. They might look small, but they are hands-down one of the best tools for shoulder prehabilitation and recovery.
Unlike heavy lifting that packs on joint compression, circular training with lightweight clubs uses gentle traction. As you swing them through these smooth, controlled paths, the weight pulled by momentum helps to:
Lubricate the joint: It stimulates the production of synovial fluid (your joint's natural oil change).
Decompress the socket: It creates a tiny bit of space in the joint, relieving pressure on tight tendons.
Build multi-directional strength: It strengthens the tiny rotator cuff muscles at angles traditional dumbbells just can’t reach.
Whether you're looking to prevent stiffness before it starts or gently reclaim your range of motion, consistency with light clubs is magic for keeping your shoulders happy, healthy, and moving freely.
Drop a comment if your shoulders could use a little extra love this week, or ask me any questions about getting started!

Today, I’m celebrating all the strong, resilient, smart, funny, hardworking, beautiful mothers who come to work out with me. I know you pour so much of yourselves into your families, often until your own cup feels empty. I love when you come here to fill your cup back up, so you can continue to be the supermom I know you are.
Mothers carry immense responsibilities, and sometimes, taking care of yourself can feel like a selfish act. But taking care of yourself is an act of love for your family. When you make time for exercise and self-care, you're investing in your mental and physical health, which directly benefits your children and loved ones.
I am humbled to support you on your wellness journey. So, here's to all the mothers who prioritize their health, their happiness, and their well-being. Thank you for choosing to fill your cup with me.
