We bumped the cliff with the boat. The cliff didn't move.
The Canning runs through some narrow stretches in the Sadlerochit where there's not much shoulder. Mostly you steer. Once in a while you bump.
The rock here is folded sedimentary, tipped up on edge, and stuck out into the river like a row of broken teeth. We could've put in another foot of water and been fine. We didn't. The boat had a small scrape and a story. Both wear off eventually.
