Skill is pinging a ball to feet from across the field. Skill is bringing the ball down with one touch. Skill is knowing when to pass, shoot, and dribble. Skill is also being able to take on a defender. Once in awhile we let the kids go at each other in friendly competition.
For my leg day I went to the gym. For the cardio portion I turned on the machine. Here is a drill I came up with that works on:
• 1st Touch
• Skills (in this case a simple rollover)
• Speed and Agility
• Coordination
• Passing Accuracy
• Passing Under Pressure (pressure in this case being the next ball) the machine will not wait for you to be ready.
• Acceleration
• Fitness
