Today, I had the honor of meeting with the Umunnegoli Kindred of Umuchigbo Iji-Nike to formally declare my intention to contest for a seat in the Enugu State House of Assembly, representing Enugu East Rural.
As their son, I was warmly received, and their prayers, encouragement, and blessings meant a great deal to me. Their support strengthens my resolve to serve with integrity, dedication, and a deep commitment to the progress of our people.
I am truly grateful for their goodwill and confidence. The journey continues, and together, we will work towards a better future for Enugu East Rural.

Seven years ago, at just 18, I had the passion, the vision, and the courage to step forward and serve my people. But the constitutional age restriction stood in the way of that dream.
Today, thanks to the Not Too Young To Run Act, the age requirement for the House of Assembly has been reduced to 25 years—a powerful step toward inclusivity and youth participation in governance. This reform is more than a law; it is a recognition that young people are not just leaders of tomorrow, but leaders of today.
My journey is a reminder that the voices of young Nigerians matter. We have the ideas, the energy, and the commitment to drive real change in our communities. Enugu East Rural deserves progressive leadership, and the youth are ready to take responsibility.
The future of governance must be shaped by those who will live in it the longest. It’s time to step up, speak out, and take our rightful place at the decision-making table.
