We combined our love for poetry with our community activism to create CalmUnity Expressives, Inc. We believe poetry can be fun, therapeutic and a viable outlet of expression that transcends our experiences and speaks to others by breaking race, gender, cultural and social barriers. Youth also learn coping skills, conflict resolution, and how to use their voice to affect change.
