While everything burns around us, my mind went somewhere ancient and still. The desert doesn’t rush and maybe that’s the only sane response this 😭🏜️.
Africa isn’t Third World. That term was always a myth.
The continent holds an estimated 30% of the world’s mineral reserves, 60% of the world’s arable land, and some of the fastest-growing economies on the planet. People are getting extraordinarily rich off African soil, African labor, and African resources — every single day.
The wealth exists. It’s just being systematically redirected out of African hands and into foreign ones. That’s the real conversation we should be having.

Had an awesome time representing at in Austin with our friends at on a panel about young people and civic engagement — where they are, how they feel, and what will push us over the threshold to get them voting in 2026. 🗳️
It was a real, heavy, and needed conversation. The truth is, not all young people are monolithic — their experiences, concerns, and motivations are as diverse as they are. Meeting them where they are, listening to what actually matters to them, and building trust is how we move the needle. The energy in that room made it clear: young people aren’t apathetic, they’re waiting to be heard. And we’re committed to making sure they are. 🙌🏽

As the CEO 🥲it’s been a minute since I’ve been on a college campus! Got to support and lead a training and just feel the energy of young people eager to learn how they can GOTV this year and organize 365. Well, I get to do it A LOT THIS YEAR and I’m so excited because our young people are READY! 🙌🏾 We kicked off our Rise Live and Direct Tour this week with Rise Salon and Rise University in GA. 🎓🔥
