Lead by examples
A great sales manager needs to come up with the best possible results in their team and there are a couple of ways for them to ensure this happens. A solid performance comes from living by example and setting the bar for all other sales representatives to follow. For instance, if you’re a sales manager and plan on attending an internal sales meeting set the tone from day one so you can gain everyone’s respect throughout. Don't just go through the motions; actively participate in discussions, show appreciation for other team members’ efforts, think of creative solutions and promote sharing of ideas with others by helping out whenever possible. Sales managers need others to rally around them - it's important that each member knows that they are respected and valued for whatever insights they may have to offer.

It's not about you
No one cares what you want. It’s about your customer and what they need help with. A healthy business is all about their goals, and in turn, they should be interested in yours too! If they aren’t interested then perhaps you might be trying to strike a deal with the wrong people and it would be better to either find new clients or reevaluate how things are run at your end. Be out there for them to help them thrive because that is why you got into this business right? To help others solve their problems?

Raise prices 20%
Pricing is a tricky beast. It's not quite science and it's certainly not straightforward. But one thing you should be doing as a pricing strategist is adjusting your prices to help drive sales and revenue overall by upping the price every so slightly, while at the same time offering special offers that are limited-time only. An added perk of this is that customers will begin seeking out these discounts in order to maximize their value. In other words, if you give customers something they want enough that they feel like they MUST purchase it at all costs, then you've got yourself a win-win situation on your hands!
