🌱 The Secret to Healthier Gardens Might Be... Sheep. 🐑

With high temperatures and inconsistent rainfall, keeping moisture in the soil is one of the best things you can do for your plants and that means mulching.

That's where sheep come in. ❤️

We’re excited to introduce Wool Garden Pellets and Wool Mulch, both made from the wool of our own sheep!

🌿 Why use wool?
💧 Holds moisture in the soil longer, helping reduce watering.
🌱 Slowly releases natural nitrogen as it breaks down.
🌎 100% biodegradable and chemical free.
🐌 May help discourage slugs and snails.
🪴 Great for vegetable gardens, flower beds, raised beds, hanging baskets, and containers.

Our Wool Garden Pellets are easy to mix into the soil around your vegetables, flowers, or potted plants, while our Wool Scrap Mulch creates a natural blanket on top of the soil to help reduce evaporation and suppress weeds.

It's one more way we're trying to make sure every part of our sheep has a purpose. Instead of wool going to waste, it can now help grow healthier tomatoes, peppers, flowers, herbs, and gardens right here in our community.

We're excited to offer both products at the farm stand and would love to answer any questions you have about using them.

If you've driven by the farm on a Tuesday this summer, you've probably seen cars lined up, volunteers packing bags, and lots of activity. More than once I've had someone pull in thinking the farm stand was open, so I figured I'd share what we've been up to.

For the past 7 weeks, Luttrell Farm and S & S Homes Realty LLC have partnered together to provide weekly food boxes for local children throughout the summer.

Every week, our volunteers gather to pack meals, breakfast items, snacks, fresh produce, and other goodies before families begin driving through to pick them up. This summer we've been blessed to serve nearly 50 children each week, helping fill the gap while school is out.

It's honestly become one of my favorite days of the week. ❤️

This program wouldn't be possible without the incredible generosity of our community. Thank you to everyone who has donated food, money, time, encouragement, or simply shared our posts. Every single contribution has helped feed a child.

And to our amazing volunteers...thank you for giving up your time to pack bags, organizing supplies, greeting families with smiles, and making this happen week after week. You are the hands and feet that keep this program moving.

We have 2 Tuesdays left in this year's summer program, and while it's a lot of work, it's also been one of the greatest blessings of our summer.
Thank you for allowing us to love our community in this way. We're grateful to be part of a place where neighbors show up for neighbors.
