It’s easy to write down some numbers on a piece of paper or put some numbers in a budgeting app but making sure those numbers reflect your actual life and spending habits is a different story. ⁣

Unfortunately there’s no magic Dollar Fairy slipping money into your wallet at night while you sleep...sad, right?...so we have to be honest with ourselves about our financial goals and how we choose to spend the money we have. ⁣

The more realistic you are about these numbers, the more likely you’ll be able to stick to your budget. If you aren’t willing to put some effort into planning, tracking and living within the boundaries of the budget you’ve set, budgeting won’t work.
