Appen– English Language Consultant. Anywhere in the US. Review transcriptions and test responses to assure quality. Must be a native English speaker with a strong internet connection and headphones. College degree preferred (but not required). Salary is unknown, but salaries for most positions at Appen tend to range around $11 – $15 / hour.
Concentrix– Seasonal Customer Service. Most US states. Minimum 1 year customer service experience required, as well as strong problem solving and data entry skills. You'll need a speedy internet connection, a landline phone, a noise canceling microphone, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. Pay starts at $10 / hour + health benefits.
Time Etc – Virtual Assistants. US & UK. Looking for virtual assistants, both specialized and general. Required experience will vary depending on which category you apply for, but the requirements appear to be fairly lenient / open in all areas. According to Glassdoor, pay should be around $11 / hour.
LendingTree– Superheroes. Worldwide. Seeking experts in development, product innovation, business development/sales, or online marketing. Salary isn't listed, but it is a highly rated company with lots of perks and benefits.
NexRep – Customer Service & Sales Agents. Anywhere in the US. Quiet workspace required. You will also need a printer, noise-cancelling headset, and a speedy, wired internet connection (no satellite or WiFi). According to Glassdoor, pay should be around $10 / hour.
TTEC – Work From Home Customer Service Reps. Open to all US states except CA, ME, MD, NJ, RI, WI, OR, WA, NY, CT, MA, VT, HI, AK, DC, AZ, CO, KY, NV, OH, IL and the Virgin Islands. Required high school diploma or equivalent and at least six months of past experience in a customer service role.
Scribendi Inc. – Freelance Proofreaders. Available worldwide, some US states excluded. University degree in a relevant field and native level English ability required. Minimum 3 years experience in editing, proofreading, or teaching. According to Glassdoor.com, hourly contractors average around $25 / hour.
Pearson– Customer Success Associates. Anywhere in the US. A 4-year college degree demonstrating academic excellence is preferred, prior sales experience required. According to Glassdoor, pay should be around $14 – $16 / hour.
Under Armour– Customer Service Reps. Salt Lake City, UT. Bachelor's degree OR 2 years customer service experienc required. Must be available to work a flexible schedule, with access to a quiet workspace and speedy internet connection. According to Glassdoor, pay should be around $14 / hour.
Sentry– Customer Service Reps. LA, GA & TX. Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience required, as well as call center or customer service experience. Must have flexibility to work until 11:05 pm CST Monday-Friday and 7:05 pm CST on Saturdays. According to Glassdoor, pay should be around $15 / hour.
Vox Media– Baseball Writers. Anywhere in the US. Must be able to produce and edit clean copy. Previous baseball writing experience preferred, but not required. Ideal candidates have a passion for the Padres and will already be familiar with Gaslamp Ball. According to Glassdoor, pay should range somewhere around $29k – $31k / year.
CVS Health– Customer Service Reps. Tennessee. Must live within 75 miles of the Knoxville, TN office. 6 months of customer service or retail experience required, as well as availability to work shifts between 7 AM – 11 PM to 12 PM – 11 PM. According to Glassdoor, pay should be around $12 / hour.
TinyBeans– Customer Support. Anywhere in the US (some preference given to those who can work 2 days / week from their New York office). 1-2 years experience in a customer support role required, as well as strong writing skills, computer literacy and keyboard skills. Salary is unknown.
Unum– Service Specialist Associates. West Coast US. Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent, relevant experience required. Hours worked will be 8:35 AM – 5:05 PM PST. According to Glassdoor, pay should be somewhere around $41k / year.
GMR Transcription – General Transcriptionists. Anywhere in the US. No experience needed! Make your own schedule, pick and choose how much work you want to take on. According to Glassdoor, pay should be around $14 / hour.
Extra Cash - E-Poll. If you enjoy movies, current events, and celebrities, you won't get too bored answering survey questions for E-Poll -- a company that wants to reward you for your opinions on these things. I've been a member here and been paid. You can redeem for money to your Paypal account, Amazon codes, and lots of different gift cards. It's a great survey panel to be a part of.
