My Santa Christmas Story!
I became a professional Santa now 3 years ago, when I was convinced to go and participate at Northern Lights Santa Academy. When Santa Rick approached me, he said that I would be perfect to become a Santa. I laughed and told him that I know who Santa is and what he does, but honestly had no idea how to be him. That is when he said I should go to Santa School! I honestly thought he was kidding. so I said if there was a school within a 1/2 hour from my house I would go. He promtly told me that it was in Elfaretta which is right next to Alpharetta if you are from GA which is 27 mins from my home. My father told me to always live up to my promises, so I agreed to go. I called my wife and told her what I was doing and asked her if she would go with me. she thought I was joking so she promptly said yes! HO!HO!HO! The joke was on her!! Over 80 Santas were in attendance with up to 30 years of experience with some. It was a great bunch of guys, always willing to help and provide advise. I found there was a lot more than just putting on a red suite to becoming the Big Guy himself, and here I am! I invite you all to joing me in this endeavor to keep the magic alive, let children stay children as long as possible. and help adults revert back to a better time in their lives. Everyone is always happy when Santa shows up! Remembering that you are portraying a great giving person and realizing you are the personification of him and not him is very important. I love the fact that as my children are growing up, they will have great Christmas Memories.
