Saturday, Dave's open 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at 13478 Minnieville Road.
Sunday, Dave's open 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at Tractor Supply (14700 Silverdale Drive).

The animal shelter's pet pantry (which provides food to people struggling to feed their animals--anything that keeps pets in their homes instead of the shelter is a GREAT initiative) is struggling to keep up with demand, especially for cat food. We're making a donation of several bags of dry cat food on behalf of our awesome customers, but if you can help, please see their Amazon wish list.

You can drop off donations or have them shipped directly to the PWC Animal Services Center, 14807 Bristow Road, Manassas, VA 20112.

Our Pet Food Pantry has become so important to the community that, in the first 6 months of this year, we have already distributed 1500lbs more food than we did for the entire year of 2025! Our dog food donations have been keeping pace with demand, but unfortunately, we can’t say the same for CAT FOOD (kibble) because OUR SHELVES ARE BARE! A few years ago, someone nominated Karen for "best waiter/waitress" in the best of Prince William County annual survey. It was hilarious in part because we knew no one could ever beat the incomparable Peggy at Montclair Family Restaurant who deservedly had that category locked up year after year.

Peggy was an institution around here, having worked at MFR for decades. Every time Dave would go there, she would ask about Dave's Dogs. Every time Karen would go there, she would ask if Karen still had her Smart car (which Helen thought was just the funniest little car around).

It wasn't just us. Everyone was special to Peggy. She loved everyone who came there and she remembered little bits and pieces about them. She had a gift in that every person she met became a friend. Going to eat there was always about hoping you'd also get to see Peggy.

Peggy passed away a couple of days ago. It felt like a punch in the gut when we heard that--and we know it was the same to everyone who heard the terrible news. We are grieving along with her family (and the people at the restaurant who were like her family too). Words feel so inadequate right now. This is a loss to our entire community.

Rest well, Peggy. We will all miss you.
