💡 ABA Tip for Parents: Use Visual Schedules to Build Independence 💡
One of the simplest yet most effective tools you can use at home is a visual schedule.
These schedules show your child what to expect next—reducing anxiety, building confidence, and helping them transition between activities more smoothly.
✨ Why Visual Schedules Work:
They provide clear, consistent expectations 📅
They support receptive language skills 📖
They help reduce challenging behaviors during transitions ⏳
They empower your child to manage their day more independently 💪
📌 How to Get Started:
1️⃣ Identify the daily activities you want to include (e.g., breakfast, brushing teeth, school, playtime).
2️⃣ Use pictures, icons, or photos that your child understands.
3️⃣ Place the schedule somewhere visible and review it with your child each morning.
4️⃣ Check off completed activities together to celebrate progress!

💡 ABA Tip for Parents: Break It Down into Steps!
When teaching a new skill, try breaking it into small, manageable steps. This makes it easier for your child to learn and succeed — and builds confidence along the way!
✨ Example: Instead of “Get ready for bed,” break it down into:
1️⃣ Put on pajamas
2️⃣ Brush teeth
3️⃣ Read a bedtime story
These small wins add up to big progress! 💙💚
