At around the halfway point in Belle Meade's opening hunt, the riders and hounds stop to mingle with the huge crowd of tally ho wagons filled with guests. The wagons are filled with people with a wide range of interests and usually have sponsorship. The wagons each have their own personality - some play loud music, some have fantastic spreads of food and beverages, and others are celebrating a birthday or other event. It was a great day in spite of a good bit of rain. The good news is bad weather makes great photos. We have some really unique photos that capture the atmosphere and fun of the day.

Getting ready to head to Belle Meade for today's opening fox hunt. As far as I know, this is the largest foxhunt in the country with more than 125 riders and 500 spectators following the action. There is a good chance of rain today - a plus and a minus. We need the rain since it ahs been quite dry. The damp air helps carry the scent better, so the hounds will be more likely to give chase. And overcast conditions provide less contrast making for better photos.
