This Soup Looked Like It Came to Heal Something

Roasted green chicken noodle soup with a curry broth… yeah this not your regular chicken noodle. This one looked rich, flavorful, and like it had some real depth to it.

The kind of bowl you don’t rush. You sit with this one.

Would you try this or you sticking to the classic chicken noodle?

Nobody really talks about how a restaurant earns your trust one plate at a time, but Riverview Grill did exactly that.

I started with the miso kale salad with steak, had the bang bang shrimp next, and finished with the grilled Atlantic sea bass. That kind of lineup can go left fast if a spot is not serious, but this one kept building momentum with every course.

That is why I like sharing places like this. I am always looking for good food that is actually worth your time, not just a nice view and empty hype. Riverview Grill ATL gave grown energy, strong presentation, and a menu that felt intentional from start to finish.

Szechuan Dumplings That Mean Business

Steamed dumplings loaded with shrimp and pork, sitting in that spicy Szechuan oil with fresh herbs on top. This is not your basic dumpling plate… this one got some attitude to it.

Would you try these or you staying on the safe side?

Soul Food Plate Done Right

Baked chicken wings, rice, macaroni and cheese, yams, and collard greens all on one plate. Real comfort food, real sides, and the kind of meal that looks like it came to calm your whole spirit down.

Would you go for the baked chicken first or straight to the mac and yams?

Nobody really talks about how bold a pizza spot has to be to pull off oxtail and curry chicken on the same pie, but Grand Slam Pizza of Kennesaw did exactly that.

Me and my sons pulled up and got a half viral oxtail pizza and half curry chicken pizza, and the wild part is the curry chicken side had not even made the menu yet. That made this one feel even more special because we got to tap into something before everybody else caught on.

I love moments like this because it is more than just food. It is time with my boys, trying something different, and finding a spot willing to step outside the box.

I walked into Black Coffee Atlanta thinking I’d probably end up with something safe…

Instead, I ordered the Cash Money Matcha.

Now y’all know I don’t drink coffee… and I’m definitely not a matcha person. So when that bright green drink hit the table, I had questions. 😂

One sip later…

I got real quiet.

The vanilla and cinnamon balanced the matcha perfectly, and I honestly see why people keep coming back for it.

Danielle also enjoyed the Peach Cinnamon Roll, Ash loved her fresh muffin, and Ash and George both ordered the Light Skinned Keisha, a lavender and vanilla latte with a honey drizzle.

Good drinks.
Fresh pastries.
Relaxed atmosphere.
Friendly people.

And it’s Black owned.

If you’re looking for a coffee shop that’s a little different from the usual chains, put this one on your list.

Have you been here? If so, what are you ordering?

Jerk Chicken Done Right

This jerk chicken looked smoky, dark, and like it had real flavor all through it. No light seasoning, no playing around, just the kind of chicken that lets you know it’s been handled properly.

Would you pull up for this jerk chicken plate or are you grabbing something else first?
