Crossing the Delaware in 1776 🇺🇸

There are moments in history when everything hangs in the balance and this was one of them.

George Washington and his men were cold, weary, outnumbered, and staring at what appeared to be certain defeat. Yet they crossed anyway. There was ice, darkness, and plenty of uncertainty, but their courage became one of the great turning points in the story of our nation.

As we celebrate 250 years of America, I’m reminded that while we rightly honor the courage of our founders, the true Author of history is God Himself. He is the one who has allowed America to be sustained all these years. Nations rise and fall by His sovereign hand (Daniel 2:21). Every blessing we enjoy (including the gift of liberty) is ultimately from Him.

Let’s celebrate freedom while never forgetting the One who grants it.

Happy 250th, America. May God continue to show us mercy and may we be found faithful. 🇺🇸
