G-String Snaps!

“G-String Snaps!” is a phrase created by founder Goldie Candela and Kitty Kitty Bang Bang (ATX) Alumni, @Venus Velvet.

In burlesque many times back stage your co performers will say “Pop a Pastie” as a way of saying “Break a Leg”. Goldie and Venus always found the idea of losing a pastie on stage (and it happens) very frighting. So in the vein of the jock ass slap they started telling each other and others “G-STRING SNAPS!”

With each production we aim to support and boost other performers in burlesque and in a variety of arts and performance. Both on stage an off. We aim to share our performance world with the great er Austin Area and looking into the future to go beyond.

We have a changing cast with every show as we aim to incorporate a variety of talents, performer types, and styles through this arts we love so much. We’re honored to work with multiple venues to execute this mission and we are humbled to reach audiences old and new.
