My name is Termiea Bowers, and I'm proud to say I'm a true Houstonian, born and raised right here in South Park. I've had the privilege of spending the last 20 years deeply involved in organizations that uplift the Deaf community; a passion that's been the driving force behind my career.
You'll find me actively participating with groups like the Southwest Basketball Association of the Deaf, Houston Black Deaf Advocates, and Camp Sign. I love rolling up my sleeves and getting involved in community engagement and development projects. It’s all about making a positive impact and having a little fun along the way!
Speaking of fun, I've got my own entertainment venture called Deaf United Entertainment. It’s a blast creating events that bring folks together in an accessible and creative way. Nothing beats connecting with the community through shared joy and laughter.
Family is my heart and soul. My two amazing kids, Tierra and Tyler, keep me grounded and smiling every day. I’m known for my sense of humor; if I can make someone laugh, I consider it a day well spent.
I’m all about sharing resources and fostering inclusion within the Deaf and hard-of-hearing community. I can’t wait to collaborate with y’all on initiatives that empower and uplift. Let's make some noise, Houston style!
