Watch satisfying before-and-after home transformations!
This is the place I'm planning to disappear to for a while and enjoy a proper digital detox.
Started as a small shelter tucked under a rock overhang in the woods. Step by step, the walls came down, the floor was cleared, and eventually it was opened back up to become part of the forest again.
Sometimes the best projects are not about building something permanent. They're about enjoying the process, spending time outdoors, and creating a quiet place away from screens and notifications.
Building a Hidden Rock Shelter Beneath a Massive Overhang
Found a natural rock overhang deep in the forest and slowly turned it into a cozy hidden shelter. Every stone, every cut, and every detail came together step by step. Watching the transformation from a simple cave-like space to a finished hideaway is incredibly satisfying.
I found this incredible, massive rock overhang deep in the mountain forest and knew it would make the perfect natural roof. Using local stone from the surrounding area, I built up the front walls, laid down a custom flagstone patio, and crafted a rustic wooden door with a small porthole window. It took a lot of heavy lifting and patience, but the final result blends perfectly into the landscape. Check out the complete timelapse of the build.

This is ultimate low impact, high detail wilderness architecture designed to blend seamlessly back into the deep woods.
Building My Secret Stone Cave House In The Deep Forest
I spent days crafting this hidden woodland shelter completely by hand, using only natural stones and timber found on site. Watch the incredible transformation from an untouched rocky overhang to a cozy, fully functional off-grid hideout nestled deep in the wilderness.
I saw this giant rock and thought, why not build a shelter under it? 😅
Not sure if it was the smartest idea, but the final result turned out better than I imagined. Fingers crossed that rock stays there.
