I think we conveniently forget about the alchemy that naturally happens in the artistic process.
The inherent push and pull.
The way we are asked to squeeze creation out of nothingness.

To allow enough spaciousness and breath for the contractions to pass without gripping too hard.
To stay in witnessing of what we are giving birth to in real time.

Not unlike the birthing process itself.
Devastating and beautiful.
Painful and holy.

A reckoning with who we think we are, and how we show up in the midst of challenge, unimaginable tension, and uncertainty.

And the irony is this:
We don’t have to work so hard to make anything happen.

We are the pressure cooker.
The force that has the capacity to transform coal into diamonds, ashes into wildflowers, and heartbreak into hope.

Against all odds, we keep coming back.
Having the courage to try again, regardless of how many times we get burned.

How beautiful we are.
How true.
How honest.
How utterly, unexplainably, and magically human.

We can make art and create in so many different ways.

Your art doesn’t need a paintbrush, writing implement, or a blank page.

Art can be the way you move through the world, the way you express yourself, how you dress, how you light up a room when you laugh, the trails of tears that create a glistening pattern on your cheek, the way you moan with pleasure when you taste something that delights your tastebuds, the way you savor a sunset and the moments when it’s most quiet.

I think we often forget that life is our art. The way we live is the masterpiece. I know I certainly can.

And when we look back on our lives, it won’t be one specific piece we created that stands out, but the masterpiece of moments that create a constellation of a life only we could live.

A life that is wholly ours.

A life that couldn’t exist without us.

A life that is a continuous gift because it offers us the opportunity to become intimate with all that we are in every moment.

If there was ever a life worth showing up for. It’s be this one and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Sending big love to all of you who are willingly drinking the bittersweet truth medicine, courageously embracing their deeper knowing, and walking yourself home as you dance into greater alignment with all that you are.

I am your biggest cheer leader, hype woman, and supporter and couldn’t be more proud of you.

It’s been an intense, wild, and painfully beautiful journey and you keep showing up.

I’m honored to walk along side you.

We’ve got each other and we most certainly got this!

Pausing and slowing down is a rebellious act in a society that demands that we constantly “do,” to feel worthy.

How do you find your exhale?

What do you do to come back into intimacy with yourself and the resonance of your deepest truth?

What brings you back to yourself when the volume of life has become so loud that it drowns out your own voice?

This is your medicine and the way to rediscover what has always been eternally home.
