MamaLingua

MamaLingua has been a labor of love but it is time to move on! MamaLingua is an edTech company focused on empowering families to raise bilingual kids.

This little project started with a Spanish class I conducted out of my home to help parents raise bilingual kids when I first became a mom. We began to build a brand, and then Christia Hoffman and I created an app based on the material I was teaching in class. This app reached about 100k downloads. Out of necessity, I started working with publishers and distributors, and writing my own stories to increase the quality of Spanish books across various school districts that supported dual language programs. Then COVID happened and creating a high quality bilingual digital library and learning platform became the answer to providing students and staff with high quality Spanish and English books. MamaLingua GO! launched in 2021. This has been a wonderful learning experience with a lot of success along the way but the education space is a difficult one. I am grateful for the people I have met and that have supported me on this journey. MamaLingua is not going away entirely and will maintain its presence on social media but it will strictly be publishing bilingual material on Amazon for the everyday consumer. Enjoy Simon Goes to School, Opuestos en el Parque and Dicen Que Soy Perro all will be available on Amazon by the end of October in both softcover and ebook format.

I am taking the time to really evaluate what I want to do next. I really do enjoy where technology and education interest. In the meantime you can find me listening to podcasts or ebooks, fostering pups, and enjoying creative projects at home. In the meantime I am available to chat and meetupas I explore new options for my future.
