Born and raised in downtown Austin, Texas, 24-year-old artist Mace Lee has a truly unique perspective on the city’s metamorphosis from affordable small town to burgeoning tech metropolis. Austin is so embedded in his identity that it permeates throughout the sound of his music. The result is an artist who encapsulates the welcoming nature and eccentric qualities of the city.

Enamored with music at a young age and encouraged to be creative by his artist parents, Mason ‘Mace’ Lee Lynaugh was performing sentimental punk music at historic Austin venues by the time he was in middle school. While studying business at The University of Texas at Austin, Lee released his first two EPs and established a name for himself, opening for acts such as Travis Porter, Ugly God, and Zaytoven at SXSW and Texas Roundup. In the following year he released his debut album and cemented his place in the local scene by organizing a series of events that united the college and hip-hop communities.
