How the f**k does rush hour start at 2pm in the city?!?

Today is Memorial Day and as a it carries a lot of weight for me. I was really lucky to not lose any friends I serve with in combat action, but sadly I have lost too many to su***de or other tragic factors. I honor my fallen comrades best by trying to live up to my full potential.
This hasn’t always been easy, and I’m daft in some ways it’s been the hardest thing I’ve ever done.
But when it becomes truly difficult I think to myself about the guys that aren’t here and think that they’d be right on my six shouldering me forward, because that’s what we do as veterans. We carry each other and look out for each other.
That’s my memorial to them, not quitting, not letting life grind me to nothing. They aren’t here, so I have to do as they would.
