⚡ Happy National Apprenticeship Week! ⚡ We are incredibly proud to highlight Evan Popp, a senior at Fallston High School who is literally wiring his way toward a bright future!
Evan got his start with EASI (Electrical Automation Systems Incorporated) in Pasadena the summer before his junior year and hasn't looked back. In September 2025, he took a massive step forward by officially joining our ranks here at IBEW Local 24 in Baltimore.
Talk about dedication: Evan balances his week by attending high school on "A" days and gaining hands-on, real-world job experience on "B" days, all while completing his training through the Baltimore Electrical JATC. From regular testing to field application, he is building skills that matter.
Following in his father's footsteps at Local 24, Evan is fully committed to completing his four-year Registered Apprenticeship program. By the end, he’ll officially be a licensed journeyman with in-demand skills and an unshakable career foundation. 🛠️

In recognition of National Apprenticeship Week, we'd like to introduce you to Evan Popp, a senior at Fallston High School who is already wiring his way toward a bright future.
Evan started with EASI Electrical Automation Systems Incorporated in Pasadena the summer before his junior year and never looked back. By September 2025, he took a major step forward by joining IBEW Local 24 in Baltimore.
Balancing school and career, Evan attends high school on A days and spends B days gaining hands-on experience on the job while training through Baltimore Electrical JATC classes. From regular testing to real-world application, he is building skills that matter.
Evan is currently the only HCPS senior participating in a registered apprenticeship while still in school. High school students enrolling in registered apprenticeship programs are aligning with the goals of the Blueprint for Maryland's Future.
Following in his father's footsteps with IBEW Local 24, Evan is committed to completing the four-year Registered Apprenticeship program. By the end, he will be a licensed journeyman with in-demand skills and a strong career foundation.
His advice for future apprentices: Apply early. Stay committed. Study for the entrance exam. Practice for the interview.

Empowering the next generation of electrical workers! ⚡️
Today, electrical students from the Frederick Career and Technology Center got a firsthand look at the industry by touring the Power Solutions pre-fab shop.
At IBEW Local 24, we believe in investing in the future of the trades. We are deeply committed to the communities we serve, ensuring that local projects are built by local hands and providing clear pathways to career-sustaining jobs that support families. 💪🔧
A huge shoutout to the students for their engagement and to everyone who made this hands-on experience possible!
