“Mommy’s SAFE supported, feels loved , baby’s happy… oxytocin is flowin’…” Part 2 of this Summer’s Full Spectrum Doula training was rotes in community and family. Ana Rodney taught comfort measures that are not one-size-fits-all – they are responsive, intuitive, consensual and ground in center the voice, knowledge, and agency of the birthing person. Training was held in the kind of space birth itself teaches us to create, rooted and community, connection and presence alongside couples and families with a little one moving freely about the room… A beautiful reminder that birth is not only clinical – it’s human, dynamic and alive
Preparing for what you can and meeting what's unknowable with curiosity: We love it when 2nd and 1st time mamas share their experiences with us. It helps us to show up better for parents and pregnant families.
Thank you
'Women Rest' is just that - a restorative self-kind mediation to make space for yourself, to set limits, to slow down and arrive at home in your body.
Join us Sunday, May 31st 3:00-4:15p for a nervous system reset & sound meditation.
Sometimes exhaustion, overwhelm, injuries, micro-aggressions, and perfectionism chip away at the way we see ourselves.
Make space to experience yourself through an unburdened lens.
Make space to & shed your armor, overwhelm, busyness, hyper-vigilance & fatigue stored in your body and release them with breathing & gentle stretching and bodywork:
Together we will:
-Lighten our load and remember that we aren't flawed as we heal and return to balance.
-Learn techniques to relieve tightness, pain and anxiety in your body.
-Shift the focus from pressure, frustration and urgency to allow patience, presence & healing.
-Soften & release the tension we are holding in our bodies in response to pain, injury and the anticipating the unknown with hip mobility openers, massage and partner stretching.
What to bring:
-Bring a mat, your water bottle, comfortable clothing a cozy blanket, bolster or pillow
-Bring a friend or beloved if you prefer to give and receive stretching from someone familiar.
-Rest up and begin your week strengthened.
*Light refreshments & great company.
