Blessed that The SEED School allowed me to be part of such a special moment.

I hope my words reminded the graduates that success is not determined by where you start, but by your willingness to keep showing up, keep growing, and keep believing in what is possible.

Thankful for Head of School Sykes and the entire SEED team for helping these young scholars close one chapter and confidently step into the next.

Taking time today to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice so generations after them could live with opportunity, choice, and the ability to dream bigger.

One of the highest honors of my life was delivering the commencement address to the 2026 Spring graduates at UMES.

I tried to be intentional with every word. Wrote… rewrote… reflected… and thought deeply about what I wish I understood after completing something monumental and giving four years of your life to a journey.

Thank you to President Anderson, the 300+ graduates, families, and staff for allowing me to share in such a meaningful moment. Truthfully… you all filled my cup.
