When I met Nash Hudson, author of Undertow, in Texas, he probably had no idea how much one small piece of advice would stick with me.
He looked at my author setup and shared a few thoughts on my display.
Then he said something so simple...
“Wear your name.”
So people know exactly who you are.
I’ve done it at every event since.
It seems like such a small detail, but it’s made a huge difference. Readers recognize me faster, conversations start more naturally, and it reminds me that I am part of my brand.
That’s what I love about the indie author community.
Sometimes the most valuable advice doesn’t come from a keynote speech.
