Charm City Stomp

Well that was one humdinger of a weekend! Thanks to everyone who came out to Stomp with us. People travelled from all over to take part, whether onstage or simply in the crowd enjoying the great music, great weather, great beer and great food. There were ten bands on the stage, and it was great to see so many more bands represented in the crowd, such as Cinema Hearts, Starr & the Czars, Half Japanese, Spidercake, Taildraggers, Batworth Stone, Go Pills, Honey Whitlock, Krime Slugs, The Blackstone Marsh, Delarcos, Devoids, Ceromantics, 50’♀ & The Worms, Sparky’s Butterknife, Quattracenta, Chelsea Graveyard, and probably a lot more that are slipping our minds at the moment. Much gratitude to Joe Schwartz for running the sound all day, Greg Breazeale for helping with load in and set up, Jen Talbert for many things including handling the merch booth for much of the day, Amy Reid and everyone at Peabody Heights Brewery, John Spurrier and the Charles Village Music Association, everyone who tipped and/or bought merch, and last but not least, all the bands and DJs, who not only provided great entertainment, but also did their part to keep things on schedule all day. TODAY'S STOMP SPOTLIGHT: DJ CCow (Baltimore MD)
You may know DJ CCow from his surf-centric vinyl DJ sets around Baltimore. You may also know him as a guitarist for Bali Lamas. You might not know him for all of his efforts behind the scenes, working to create and nurture a surf scene and community here in Baltimore. With the Ottobar’s Shrunken Head events, he has connected local surf bands with audiences and each other. He has brought bigger name touring surf acts to town, and booked local surf acts to open. Charm City Stomp thanks CCow for all the work he has done. Now everyone please enjoy the fruits of his efforts.
