Sew Darling Embroidery

I haven’t posted much lately because life has been so busy, but I had to share this piece I recently finished! It was so much fun to design and bring it to life!

Before there was a business page, before custom orders, before hundreds of hours spent stitching for others, there was this little gown.

I embroidered it while waiting on my youngest son, never realizing it would become one of my most treasured keepsakes.

He wore it in the hospital, in some of his very first photos, and now somehow he’ll be 2 in just a few days.

The days feel long sometimes, but the years really are short.

Years from now, when I pull this little gown out of a memory box, I won’t just see an embroidered outfit. I’ll remember the love I poured into stitching it while wondering who he would become. I’ll reminisce about the tiny newborn who wore it, the sleepless nights, the sweet baby snuggles, and all of the love that filled those early days.

Part of why I love what I do is that these pieces are more than just stitches on fabric. They’re memories of babies who grew too fast, milestones we never want to forget, and seasons of life we wish we could revisit just one more time. That is the beauty of embroidery. These pieces become part of a family’s story and something to treasure long after the tiny outfit has been outgrown 🥹🪡
