Our veterans stood before the flag not just as individuals, but as part of something greater than themselves. And beside many of them stood their guardians — the ones who walked every step of this journey with them, offering support, respect, and gratitude.

These aren’t just photos.
They’re moments of pride.
They’re memories captured in time.
They’re a reminder that freedom has a face.

Over the past two years, the Louisiana Photographic Society has traveled across Louisiana capturing images of segregation-era remnants and civil rights landmarks. The exhibit opening, scheduled for February 5th at the Old State Capitol building in Baton Rouge, promises to be a compelling showcase. I am thrilled to have my work featured alongside that of other accomplished photographers, and the event is free and open to the public.

Yesterday was truly unforgettable.

Being part of Wreaths Across America was incredibly moving and humbling. Seeing so many people come together—families, veterans, volunteers, and community members—all united by a shared purpose was nothing short of amazing.

Placing wreaths and speaking the names of our fallen heroes was a powerful reminder that they are remembered, honored, and never forgotten. The quiet moments, the salutes, the tears, and the gratitude made it clear just how much this day means.

Thank you to everyone who volunteered, donated, and showed up with such respect and heart. Yesterday wasn’t just a ceremony—it was a moment of connection, reflection, and deep appreciation for those who gave everything for our freedom. ❤️
