Louisiana Main Streeters are learning a lot and getting great information to bring home during the Main Street Now conference this week in Tulsa! Our state contingency is 40 strong - some of our group gathered for a photo op.

Week 1 of our board and fundraising training kicked off yesterday and today in Leesville!

Main Street directors and partners gathered in Hammond last week for the Louisiana Preservation Conference & Louisiana Main Street quarterly meeting. We also participated in a CAMP training for historic districts, Historic Tax Credits workshop, and downtown walking tour. Kudos to the conference organizers: Louisiana Trust for Historic Preservation and hosts: City of Hammond - Hammond, Louisiana, Hammond Historic District, Hammond Downtown Development District, and Tangi Tourism.

Last week, we attended Crowley Main Street's free Small Business Marketing Series workshop. We learned from BBR Creative about email marketing, which is still the highest ROI marketing channel. At each session, participants get a workbook for hands-on activities and practical application to their business.

We are grateful to the Louisiana Legislature for supporting this Technical Support Service via a 2025 appropriation to Louisiana Main Street.
