I recently spoke with The Mississippi Independent about my testimony against SB 121, the redistricting bill that eliminated one of the state’s two majority-Black congressional districts.

I explained that the fight was never just about one map or one election. It is also about whether voters are supposed to accept a government that can change the rules after ballots have already gone out, then act like the public is wrong for noticing.

Definitely a choice was made for the photo they chose for the article, but that choice aside, it's a nice article that reinforces how ridiculous the times we are living are and why we shouldn't normalize these extreme tactics to undermine our democracy.
