We are proud to spotlight our Dallas Chapter Member and Sponsorship Chair, Bruce Emery!

Bruce first joined the LSU Alumni Association in LSU Houston and helped with the golf tournament and college nights back in 1990. He was a member in Little Rock for a few years, moved back to Texas in 2013 and found the Dallas Chapter where he served on the crawfish boil committee and eventually as Chapter President.

Bruce retired in 2020 as Director of Sales and Supply Chain Procurement for a Veteran owned small business that served defense prime contractors, managing a national team of 12 with sales volume of $25M. He is the Chairman of the Bedford City Planning & Zoning Commission and actively supports the sr. center.

His favorite memories at LSU? Being on campus walking the Quad, lunch in the Union, studying at the Indian mounds, handball in the armory, and drinks at Magoo's. He was a member of the marketing fraternity doing surveys and selling discount cards to students.

Every football game is a memory for Bruce - from Burt Jones, Robiskie, Jacob Hester, to Burrow. Thanksgiving when Alabama came to town, the high scoring game against Auburn, taking family for their first Tiger games and staying at The Cook for post game chicken!

For Bruce being part of the LSU Alumni Association Dallas Chapter means making a difference for students from North Texas with the scholarships the Chapter has funded from the crawfish boils, auctions, and sponsorships over many years. Keeping that legacy going is what motivates him to do what he can in support.

Participating in the college nights and summer send-offs continues to be his favorite activity to meet and share with students and their families the great experiences and benefits from becoming an LSU Tiger. He always travels with some Tiger gear on and it is amazing how often there is a Geaux Tigers called out anywhere he has been, - especially in DFW.

Bruce states "the great experiences from being at LSU are a life long thing that becomes a part of who we are. It's always a great day to be a Tiger!"

Thank you Bruce for all you do for LSU and our Dallas Chapter!
