It's the first week and three of our REU students have already had a photo-op with the governor!
We were pleased to welcome Governor Edwards to LIGO for a visit this morning!
... and we're off for the tenth year of the program. Our first student arrived yesterday, and we have orientation (and RESEARCH!) starting tomorrow.
Many thanks to Kip Matthews for guiding the program through the first nine years. From now on Rob Hynes and Rongying Jin are co-directing the program, although with a lot of advice still from Kip.
