Scotch on the Bayou
Loving life in south Louisiana with a wee dram of Scotch whisky, or two
The move is complete. The whisky room is coming together. The new studio is cooperating enough to FINALLY get back on air. Oh how I have missed you all.
Join me for a welcome-back livestream filled with great Scotch, catching up with old friends, and the start of a brand-new chapter for Scotch on the Bayou.
Turns out Scotch tastes pretty good at higher elevation too. Slainte, Y'all!

Stellar blind tasting last night with some unique and amazing drams. So proud of .rayner.465 for nailing the stats on the second dram!
The beauty of a blind challenge is that marketing and perception are striped away. It's just you and the whisky. Enjoying it without pretense or expectations. You truly learn so much tasting this way.
Big thanks to Roy and David for organizing yet again such a special evening. Not only was the whisky top notch but it brought in so many whisky friends! The very best part!
Now, on to the main event today... film and drams! in Leith!

Loving. Generous. Whip Smart. Resilient. Sharp-witted. Strong. My mom, Marilyn. She was the greatest. I'm so thankful our family was there with her as she made her way to the heavens.
She made sure those she loved had what they needed. She taught me to believe I could do anything I wanted, even when she didn't understand or agree with it.
If you knew her, you were quite fortunate. I was blessed to have such an incredible mother. I'll miss her so much, but she'll always be with me in my heart, mind, and occasional snarky comeback.
All the prayers, well wishes, and good juju sent to me and Mark, my brother, Ethan, and sweet dad, Larry, are greatly appreciated. We will need them.
I'll see you again one day, Mom. I promise. - Your Dear One.
