đź’ś FAITH TO FLEE IS RELAUNCHING OUR SUPPORT GROUP! đź’ś

You are not alone — and you do not have to carry everything by yourself. Sometimes the hardest part of healing is feeling like no one understands what you’re going through. That’s why we are bringing back our support group in a way that is safe, accessible, and supportive for everyone who needs it.

✨ HOW IT WORKS:
Our support group will meet virtually via Zoom once a month, allowing survivors and those struggling emotionally to join from the comfort and safety of their own space.

We will also be creating a private GroupMe support chat so that when life feels heavy between meetings, you still have people to lean on. Whether you need encouragement, someone to listen, advice, prayer, or simply a reminder that you matter — we want this to be a safe place filled with support and understanding.

We are also actively working on bringing a counselor into the meetings to help guide discussions and provide additional support and healing tools.

✨ HOW TO ATTEND:
Please message us privately with:
• Your email address (for Zoom meeting links)
• Your phone number (to be added to GroupMe)

Dates and times for meetings will be sent through GroupMe.

This group is for anyone who feels overwhelmed, isolated, unheard, or simply needs someone to talk to. Healing looks different for everyone, but no one should have to go through it alone.

At Faith to Flee, we believe healing starts when people finally feel seen, heard, and supported. đź’ś

Welcome to the rebrand….

WELCOME TO THE RISE

đź’ś SAY THEIR NAMESđź’ś
Tag your local news stations!

33-year-old Averia Arceneaux.
29-year-old Johvon McKinley.

life’s taken.
More domestic violence tragedy.
More Louisiana families shattered forever.

And we are angry.

At what point do we stop calling these stories “incidents” and start calling them what they are — an epidemic?

Louisiana continues to see domestic violence destroy lives at alarming rates. Women are being abused, threatened, controlled, stalked, beaten, and murdered every single day. Survivors are screaming for help while so many still ask, “Why didn’t she just leave?” without understanding that leaving is often the most dangerous moment in an abusive relationship.

Domestic violence is not “relationship drama.”
It is not “just arguing.”
It is not “private family business.”

It is life or death.

Averia deserved safety.
She deserved peace.
She deserved the chance to grow old.
She deserved another tomorrow.

Instead, another name is added to a list that keeps growing far too long in our state.

At Faith to Flee, we are exhausted from watching survivors become headlines after they begged for help behind closed doors. We are tired of seeing warning signs ignored. Tired of hearing “I had no idea” after someone loses their life. Tired of survivors feeling trapped because they fear they have nowhere to go, no money, no support, no protection, and no way out.

This has to stop.

We need more education.
More resources.
More emergency housing.
More community involvement.
More people willing to believe survivors the first time.

Domestic violence does not discriminate. It affects mothers, daughters, sisters, coworkers, friends, and neighbors. It hides behind smiles, social media posts, excuses, and silence.

To every survivor reading this:
You are not weak.
You are not crazy.
And you are not alone.

Your life matters. Your story matters. And there are people who want to help you survive.

Today we say their names.
Today we honor their lives.
Today we refuse to stay silent.

đź’ś SAY THEIR NAMESđź’ś

If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic violence, please reach out for help. There are people ready to stand beside you before it becomes another tragedy.

✨ SAME HEART. SAME MISSION. JUST A NEW LOOK. ✨

Faith to Flee is still the same organization you’ve come to know and support — we’re just stepping into a new season with a new symbol: the phoenix. 💜🔥

Why a phoenix?

Because the phoenix represents rising after hardship, finding strength after pain, and beginning again stronger than before. It reflects the journey so many survivors face — walking through the fire and still choosing to rise.

This rebrand is more than a logo change.
It’s a reflection of healing.
Of courage.
Of transformation.
Of hope.

Our mission has not changed. We are still here to support survivors of domestic violence, provide resources, walk beside women during some of the hardest moments of their lives, and remind them that freedom and healing are possible.

This is still Faith to Flee.
Just with a new look that better tells the story of resilience, rebirth, and new beginnings. 🕊️💜

Thank you for continuing to rise with us.

You are allowed to talk about what they did to you. đź’ś

You are not “too much.”
You are not “causing drama.”
You are not “trying to ruin someone’s life.”

Telling your story is not wrong.

Abuse thrives in silence, shame, and fear. Speaking about what happened is part of healing, part of surviving, and sometimes part of saving someone else too.

You do not owe protection to the person who hurt you.
You deserve to be heard.
You deserve support.
And you deserve to heal without being made to feel guilty for telling the truth.

Your voice matters. đź’ś
