Earlier this afternoon I saw this post on Twitter X from STL Aviation. This person calls himself an aviation geek who tracks STL aviation data and news. He is highly respected for his knowledge and ability to access data. I texted our Airport Director Darren James who tracks our Allegiant flight data throughout the week, month, and year. He texted back saying the YTD growth number of 7.9% is a “little low but close”. He agreed “these are good numbers.” And, he “would like to see Jacksonville over 80% but very strong across the board.” I share all Airport stats and financial data every month after the County Public Building Commission (PBC) meets. I noticed there were a couple Illinois ESGR events yesterday in our area. We salute them and especially businesses and employers of Reserve and Guard members. Several years ago at a County Board Meeting, ESGR recognized us for our efforts. Specifically, County Engineer/Supt. of Highways Norm Etling was recognized by the Illinois ESGR after he had been nominated by an employee who was in the US Coast Guard Reserve. 🇺🇸
