The International Snowmobile Hall of Fame™ is honored to officially announce, Larry Traxler from Corbett, Oregon as the 2026 International Groomer of the Year - sponsored by Arrowhead Groomers, Track Inc., PistenBully, and Prinoth Snow Groomers.
Larry Traxler began grooming in 1978 when the Mt. Hood Snowmobile Club started its grooming program. For nearly five decades, Larry has quietly been one of the most dependable, hardworking and influential volunteers the MT Hood Snowmobile Club has ever known. Larry began grooming in his mid-20’s and still grooms today. He is known for always making it back to the groomer shed even if he had to make temporary repairs on the trail to limp it home. Larry’s contributions extend far beyond operating the grooming equipment. He consistently supported maintaining, training, mentoring and encouraging new groomer operators. His decades of dedication, behind the scenes work and unwavering commitment have made him a cornerstone of the grooming program. Forty-seven years of continuous volunteer service to trail grooming and equipment maintenance and more than 50 years of involvement with the Mt. Hood Snowmobile Club make Larry truly the heart of their grooming program. He received the Oregon State Snowmobile Association Groomer of the Year Award for 2026. Larry never seeks recognition, but he has certainly earned it and is the International Snowmobile Groomer of the Year for 2026.
