Advocating for enforcement of Bend, Oregon’s loud vehicle exhaust law - for a more peaceful city with cleaner air for all to enjoy

If you live in Bend, Oregon or have ever visited, you’ve probably noticed that extremely loud and obnoxious vehicle exhausts are pervasive - all through the city, all day and all night.
Section 5.50.025 of the Bend municipal code prohibits "The use of any automobile, motorcycle or other vehicle so out of repair, without a legal exhaust system, or in such a manner as to create unnecessarily loud noise at a distance of 50 feet."
The City of Bend Police Department currently does not enforce this and it’s unclear why. This page is strongly advocating for enforcement of loud vehicles in Bend.
