It is with much regret that we announce the closing of Shattuck Down Low on October 15, 2012. For eleven years, the Shattuck Down Low has been a venue for local bands, DJs and artists to perform, allowed music enthusiasts to enjoy national talents, and was one of the few true dance clubs in the East Bay. Ironically, our closing year will be the year Shattuck Down Low made record sales. The closing is NOT due to a lack of viability, but due to a regrettable fact – we lost our lease.

In the near future, we hope to find a new location and reopen the Shattuck Down Low under a new name.

Much thanks to all of our loyal patrons, dedicated employees, and to the promoters, DJs, and bands. Without their commitment and enthusiasm we would not have been able to turn an East Bay party into a successful venture. Please come join us for one more month of music, dancing, and drinks.
