Town of Berwick Notice

The Town of Berwick is issuing an emergency water conservation order for all Berwick Water Department users due to the ongoing fire response at Berwick Iron & Metal Recycling.

Crews are expected to remain on scene through the day and night, and possibly into tomorrow. The water system is already under strain, and conserving water is necessary to support firefighting operations.

All Berwick Water Department users are asked to stop all non-essential water use immediately, including lawn watering, filling pools, washing vehicles, and any other avoidable water use.

The Town is also preparing to draw water from the Salmon Falls River to support firefighting efforts.
