Well I went back to Pryor early this morning to get the hurt shepherd from Friday. Sadly, there was no sign of him. I gave some other friends a little breakfast and came across a super friendly pregnant female. It was early so I didnt want to start knocking on doors but she is in decent shape so there might be an owner (keep comments to yourself) or atleast a good samaritan giving her food. Please message us if you have any information.

Anyways, just based on a few things we think there will be puppies this week. Her temp was at 100.4. Currently, she is safe, has food and water, and in air conditioning. I would say her day has dramatically improved. Ha! She is very sweet. Videos in comments.

we would appreiate any goat’s milk, puppy pads (washable ones are great), and liver donations!

⚠️ Rabies Alert – Yellowstone County ⚠️

The Department of Livestock has notified us that a case of rabies was confirmed in Yellowstone County earlier this month.

Please use extra caution around wildlife and make sure your pets are up to date on their rabies vaccinations. Never approach or handle wild animals—even a tiny scratch or bite can be enough to transmit the virus.

If you or your pet has any contact with wildlife, seek medical or veterinary advice right away. Staying alert and keeping vaccinations current are the best ways to protect your family and your pets. 🐾

I made an evening run out to Pryor with dog food. With the S/N clinic cancelled due to the heat I wanted to get an idea on how it would affect the community. I am very happy to report that I did not run into any unaltered females! However, there were around 10 unneutered males. I also had owners asking about rabbis vaccines, and tick medicine (which I had). So, this is a late $5 dollar Friday request but here are some expenses we need help with:

1.Vet care for the german shepherd that was hit in the head

2. We planned to spay the mom of the Star Wars litter at no cost to us at the clinic. Now, we have to pay for the spay and arrange it with a vet in Billings. We will handle pick up and return, as well as recovery if needed. Gas money or cards would be extremely helpful!

3. We spent $125+ a couple donated bags on more than 250 pounds of food.

Every little bit helps! I was rewarded for the volunteer work with the most beautiful sunset on the drive home!
