Recieved 2 LARGEEE boxes of tubers from a dear friend and talented Dahlia grower Steph in NOVAđź’›

We’ve been dealing with a hell of a groundhog that’s eaten 52 plants so far. We redid the fence yesterday and hope that’s enough🤞🏾

Nothing like planting more tubers🤩

We’re definitely closer to 300 dahlias this year than 200🫶🏾

Attending a funeral this afternoon for a dear childhood friend. A personal touch with hydrangeas & peonies provides the perfect send off. A little extra love to the family this morning.

I’m very grateful to Grace Bloom Farm this morning for helping me replace a few tubers that had rotted from all this rain we had. These are Caitlyn’s Joy and I’m very excited to see these babies grow!

Tubers don’t have roots yet when first planted therefore they can’t properly take in the rain. They tend to collect it and rot which is no fun!

First vase of 2026: Snapdragons & Yarrow✨

A beautiful day outside providing support to the dahlias. I’ve been ahead of the game this year as I started planting April 1st. We’ve taken 12 tuber losses which has been incredible out of 200. Now that the tubers have all sprouted we should be in the clear as long as it doesn’t rain for 2 weeks straight🫶🏾

Where else do you hope to see our dahlias this summer?

Dahlia of the Evening: Crazy Love🌸

Crazy love has blooms that I find to be very delicate. Though the vase life on these flowers isn’t the longest the flower is elegant.

Flower Size: 4 - 6 inches
Plant Height: 3ft to 4ft
Growth Habit: highly prolific & abundant blooms

This flower season I want to share some of the blooms that you’ll see in future bouquets. This is Seattle. Also known as my hubby’s favorite flower.

Seattle throws different color blooms from solid yellow, to white + yellow as well as the common yellow + whiteđź’›

• Dinner plate sized flowers
• Blooms are 6-9 inches
• Plant grows 3-4 feet

What do you think of Seattle?
