Last night I saw a post from a local rescue group called Wet Noses. The video was of a 17 year old poodle, who had a wonderful 15 years with his mom, and when she passed away, he was left with other family and truly neglected. My heart broke for him, and I felt a calling to help! Well, they brought him to me today at Dog Bath and Beyond, and we were able to get the 2 years worth of matting safely off of him. To say he was grateful would be a total understatement. He gave kisses, he snuggled, and best of all he was able to once again feel the touch of human love. I talked to him about how some people are just not good people, but we aren't ALL like that. I cried thru most of the groom, as my heart was split in 2 trying to get my mind around how someone could do this to such a sweet little guy. Anyway, he feels so much better now, and already has a new home to go to as soon as he's done being vetted. Please, if you can, donate to Wet Noses.
