These cutting boards started as armrests on movie theater seats from the 1950s.
My dad hunts these down, strips them by hand — no chemicals, just time and elbow grease — and rebuilds them into boards using cherry wood that’s been sitting since Eisenhower was president. He’s been doing woodwork for years, and this reclaimed line has turned into one of his favorite things to build.
Finished with food-safe oil, nothing else. Each one’s got a story before it even reaches your kitchen.
