Sometimes it is hard for you as a Victim to Realize the Abuse through the Mental Fog created through Psychological Abuse, gaslighting, repeated threats and the Fear Instilled by the Abuser... For me it took a scary event that my daughter watched and experienced and alls I could remember thinking was "what would you do if someone did this to her?!" Because I never questioned the love I had for her or my Role to be her Example in this World... Telling your Story is the most difficult yet Critical step in your healing journey for Victims of Domestic violence and Abuse. You must not only recognize the abuse for what it is and say "NO!!" to the domestic violence, shame, and silence, but say "YES!!" to self-love and support.
