On this day in 1965, The Beatles were at Twickenham Film Studios filming one of the most iconic musical sequences for their second feature film, Help!. 🎬🎸
The scene featured the band “recording” the song “You’re Going To Lose That Girl” in a stylized studio setting. With the atmospheric lighting and the band members gathered around the microphones, it remains a fan-favorite moment that perfectly captured the group’s studio chemistry during their mid-60s peak.
Did you know? Although they appear to be in a recording studio, the scene was actually shot on a film set designed to look like EMI Studios (now Abbey Road).

The last two Beatles are back together! 🎶
Paul McCartney has confirmed that Ringo Starr plays drums and sings on “Home to Us,” a track from McCartney’s upcoming album The Boys of Dungeon Lane (out May 29). The song is about growing up in Liverpool — with the two legends trading vocals line by line.
The collaboration was revealed at a secret listening session in LA, and also features Chrissie Hynde and Sharleen Spiteri on backing vocals.
Some things are just meant to be. ✌️🎸
